KNR advisors work with students who have a declared KNR major/minor and 25 or more hours. University College advisors assist undeclared students and those with 24 or fewer hours.

To make an appointment, call (309) 438-5782 or stop by the main office in McCormick 250. Advisors do not schedule appointments via email.
Plan to meet with your advisor at least once per semester. Appointments are about 15 minutes long during registration periods and 30 minutes all other times.
Long-term planning typically takes 30 minutes. This includes creating a plan of study or planning out several semesters. Make this kind of appointment early so you're guaranteed enough time with your advisor.
During advanced registration, advisors will only discuss the upcoming semester.
Be prepared for your appointment. Arrive on time and bring a list of questions to go over with your advisor.
Illinois State does not offer pre-Physical Therapy, pre-Occupational Therapy or other pre-professional majors. Students who want to pursue a graduate program in these areas need to select an undergraduate major and complete the pre-requisites for their future graduate/professional school of choice.
