Degree Audit (formerly plan of study)

Each KNR masters degree student is assigned a faculty advisor upon admission to his or her sequence. Under the faculty member's consultation, the student will complete a sequence-specific Degree Audit outlining the courses the student will take during their program.


The basic 33 hour program is structured as follows: 

  • Research Core (6 hours)
    • KNR 497, Research Methods
    • KNR 445, Statistics
  • Sequence Studies (12-15 hours) 
  • Cognate Studies (3-9 hours)
  • Culminating Experience (3-6 hours)
    • KNR 499, Master's Thesis (6 hours)
    • KNR 400, Independent Study
    • KNR 498, Professional Practice
