Financial Aid

Financial assistance is available to Kinesiology and Recreation graduate students in the form of tuition waivers, graduate assistantships, loans, grants, employment, and scholarships.

Tuition Waivers
KNR graduate tuition waiver applications are due to Dr. Noelle Selkow at nselkow@ilstu.edu for spring 2018 (January 2, 2018), summer 2018 (May 1, 2018), and fall 2017 (August 1, 2017).

Graduate Assistantships
Graduate assistantships are available in KNR as well as within other departments on campus. Graduate assistantships include a full-tuition waiver and a competitive stipend, and are available for full-time students. A limited number of assistantships become available for spring semester; submit your application with your Graduate School application.

In addition to completing a Teaching Graduate Assistantship application for positions within KNR, you must also complete a Teaching Preference form and upload where specificed in the Graduate Teaching Assistantship Application.

Students meeting the graduate admission requirements of the School are eligible for a graduate assistantship; however, acceptance into the graduate program does not guarantee financial support will be awarded.
